You can't go wrong with some of the good stuff that's out there. I mean, yeah there are like the big cats and shit, but you need to give loads of credits to the few out there who are up and coming. It's refreshing to hear new music (even if they all end up sounding the same), so I'll highlight Steige Music (a.k.a DJ Lexx) this week. A DJ from Paris, who's been remixing since 15.
His stuff is pretty sweet, remixes of Daft Punk, Nelly Furtado, and his own (done with Reason, ha).

I never knew the existence of a replica Daft Punk. No shit, there's actually a group of DJs, that give themselves the title "Faux Punk", and they cover songs from the French duo. So I'm thinking that this can only create madness, but I forget that, well... the original bad boys can't always make it to town, so we need some sort of like, what you'd call presence, to satisfy that need of ours. *Ahem* we're clearly talking of a need for Daft tunes that is.
Shit should be pretty hot, I ain't gonna front. Studio B, tomorrow night, doors at 10.
Alive 2007 dropped in the US on Dec. 4th (when you think about it, the rest of the world got that ish on Nov. 19th...punks), but if you were lucky enough to even get your hands on tickets to the Keyspan park gig on august 9th, and had the amazing opportunity to rave your pants off live, than God Bless your ass, cause that show was beyond crazy, so I hear.
And who knows, maybe they will be that substitute when DP is no longer around, or better yet, way too cool to play shows for us mortals.

Where should I start? Danm. I don't even know. I went down for a while, so that kept me from updating for a few days, then the weather turned a whole 1 fucking 80 on Saturday, so you already know that kept me down even further. But the best part about all this BS is that I am able to welcome my brand new Supras to a lovely family of kicks. See, I was not playing. Anyway, I mean, I won't worry about that, but my post is timed perfectly. brand new Kid Sister video for Pro Nails dropped today. I'll admit one thing, I seriously thought it'd be better (dancing fingers? really?) but homegirl delivers, keeping them nails fresh to death. Mr. West does his part in the whole video, which pretty much keeps is on lock.

I don't know how much truth one can hold to the above mentioned statement, but Spank Rock does a great job at mixing the French Duo's massive hit. Of all the D.A.N.C.E remixes out there, I can truly say that this one is my favorite, and no I don't care if I haven't heard all'o them, even the ones you keep only for your drawers to listen( you silly bedroom dj, you)
I bring with me, along with that bangin' remix, a few tracks I've been into the past few days...now naturally, someone with an ass-kicking cold would quit, but fuck it, Barça won today and that has got my energy up!

No matter how hard you try, yo...you just can't beat'em, nor join them. I guess electro just doesn't cut it for you. Who am I kidding, I'm one of the many Ye fans out there, his shit is dope, you can't even front, but Justice man...Justice just hits where it should, and I'm not even talking about eardrums and all that crap. They're just good. period.

Good movies do that to you. I dunno what's up with the French, but everything they touch is silver. From the music, to the clothes, to the food, and bref, even the movies. If you've seen any kick-ass French flics you'd know what I'm saying (Le Fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain ; Paris, Je T'aime, etc.)
Well, this movie is pretty badass, it keeps it real, like we see over here in Brooklyn. Plus, the soundtrack ain't half bad (Daft Punk, Radiohead, to name a few). En tout cas, better than most movies I've put my eyes (and psyche) to witness. L'auberge Espagnole is one of those movies you'd want to see when you are looking for something to do on a wednesday night, but can't figure out what the fuck you want to do cause everyone else is at a bar or already half waisted, and you just didn't feel like loading yourself that night, which is why you're night there with these other drunks.

Stay warm and fuzzy at home, rent it out and watch! danmit!
