These Kids Put Rainbows To Shame

They're wearing color as if their life depended on it. As if it was some cool placebo psychedelic drug . Danm. The Amsterdam Clubkids are one fierce set of 'talented beauty experts, designers, photographers, DJ's, promoters, models & club owners'
They are easily the eye catching crowd in parties from Barcelona to Paris, to anywhere else.
Just look at that style game. Sweet Mother of Jesus. I think my eyes are bleeding poppy seeds.
They'd laugh at my closet, that shit's 95% black.

Keep doing what you do Clubkids, you're good at it.

Where Do You Sign Up For This Shit!?

My Runner Up...

For best Ed Banger Cat is DJ Mehdi. He's more on the hip hop side of things. And I like that. Electro vs. Hip Hop? not a lot of DJs out there can pull that off, it's somewhat of a deadly combination. Like playing Russian Roulette or some shit. You never know what you're gonna get. But Mehdi gets it. Every time too.
If you take a look at the 113 era, I mean, that was pretty dope stuff. Right there, flat.
Let's hope Mehdi keeps bringing us hits that keeps us dancing; whether it's a Steed Lord remix, or a New Young Pony Club remix, or even his own stuff.

Rock The Party

Tonight, at 8pm, on 259 Banker Street in Brooklyn; The Cool Kids will come through with what promises to be a pretty wicked performance. Mickey and Chuck will rock the stage at Studio B and for those of you with your tix in hand, and eager to dance your asses off, here's to hoping you do just that.
After the L Magazine dissed them hard last week [I'm keeping a keen eye on you overconfident bitches], I think it's safe to say they'll be barfing their own words back and maybe try to shut up next time (but they're hipsters, they can't do that).

When Everyone's Out To Get You

Colin Munroe puts an interesting twist to Kanye's Flashing Lights. His version is pretty damn refreshing, and the video if super dope. I'm all for new and talented artists, and I think he puts Canada on the hip hop map. Keep Them Coming! [Wherever the hell you're from!]

Better Than The Original? : You decide.

For All You Sneaker Fiends

U-N-I is coming with 'fiya' in 2008, and they mean business. Straight from Inglewood (yo, the East Coast needs to step its game up...), these two rappers are once again, defying who ever declared that Hip Hop was Dead.
In Yo Face Bitch!
haha.
They put a spin to Wu Tang's C.R.E.A.M, and formulated a brilliant 'hybrid' of the classic, by recognizing the importance of the mighty Kicks, and the shoe game competition.
Take a good look at Fried Chicken & Watermelon.

You Give Me Brain Fever!

Do you like Crystal Castles? Do you think they're hot, funky, and that they're just plain ridic? Do they make you want to bang your head on a padded wall? Do you live in Brooklyn? (changes may apply...), well give them a check, at Studio B (why do I suddenly feel like a fucking promoter now?). Yeah, these cats will be in BK on March 25th, so you got plenty of tiempo to save, and cop them tickets.

And while you're at it. Take a close look at Foals. Their first 'American' gig is in the Bowery Ballroom, this February 12.
Foals is banging. It may not be what you're into, but fuck it, too much electro kills you!
Besides, new music, is always good fun. :D

Aiight I'm out.

If you can't make it on the 26th, there's an encore performance on the 28th. You can't say they ain't showing that love yo, so reciprocate!

Phat Boys

Oh! shit, these dudes are gonna blow up. Pacific Division is fresh like that, straight out of the West Coast, and bringing Hip-Hop along with them. If you like the Cool Kids, you'll love these cats, if you've never heard of the Cool Kids, then why am I even talking to you?
They rip beats like no tomorrow, they're ill and they can spit. I mean, they can actually spit.
Word to ya mother, Hip-Hop Ain't Dead, Bitches!

Sinners & Saints

And the Crusades continue. Justice are back, with an American tour in March, and yes bitches, they're stopping by the East Coast, to show NYC some love. The Date, March 11, The Place, Madison Square Garden.
After that bangin' NYE gig they hosted in LA, I was somewhat disappointed, I mean, the East Coast needs love to y'know, but it's aiight, they're making it up, and coming back.
If you're a die-hard Justice freak, and you plan on missing this one, then my friend...look back on your conscience.

Deux Zéro Zéro Huit

Enough with the booze, the kisses, the butt-shaking, the food (loads of foods), and more booze, and all th hangovers that came after that. You survived 2007, the year that brought us all the musical awesomeness (and horrors!) we could possibly endure and made us think twice about how we present ourselves out there (or not, depends on who you hang out with...) so give yourself a pat on the back, my friend, take another shot in the name of You, cause you rule.
2008 is ours bitches, and we're gonna make this the best year this generation's ever seen.
Here's to hoping the music wont suck, the girls will, the fashion won't and basically...one more year of pretty much badass fun.

Happy 08'
