Fight!!!

I love New York. And I love it's people. Coming back from The Third Annual Pillow Fight in Union Square, shit was CRAZY fun. I still have a headache, but it was damn worth it.
Nothing beats swinging your pillow at complete strangers, who are in it for the same reason you are: to have some FUN.
I inhaled a pound of feathers, I think I coughed out my pillow.
It started at 3 [with a wicked "Braveheart" re-enactement], was supposed to end at three...but lasted far longer than that. It had everything, a Giant Rat vs. Bumblebee fight, Spartans, Gladiators, Pokemon, SPONGEBOB, and fluo guy in construction hat. Like danm, this puts the F-U in FUN.
Way to go Newmindspace! I love New York.

The Kids Do It Again

The Amsterdam Clubkids. I can hardly get enough of these bitches. I swear, like too fucking fly for me. Shit like that only happens in Europe.Why?. If I ever walked out of my place looking like that, all these bums would laugh [but who knows, considering this is Brooklyn, maybe they wouldn't?]
So yeah, I've done a post about them already, praising their swag and what not, but I recently found out that they made a collaboration with, get this: The Cool Kids. Ahh, sexiness.
Jesus Christ. When Fresh met Fresh-er.
So I hear they're looking for some fresh blood for their crew, quite difficult if I may say. Seriously. Does anyone know people who dress like that?
Good Luck with that!

It's The Big Big One

Apart from the 33 Thousand bloggers out there, RAVING about Vampire Weekend (deeming it a bonafied blog band, and trust me I think they're pretty hot too, make no mistake) but I'd rather highlight some unnoticed Myspace Bangers. They are a plenty, and I love that. This is what I made of all those band requests, and I've been working on it for the past week. See, Soulk!d is all about that free promotion shit (not that I actually make a huge impact or anything, but fuck it)
Enjoy, lovelies, enjoy!

First Up: Let's Go To War, cheeky name, innit? They're sick though, crazy sounds, and remixes, not to mention the graphics (very neat in that area), They're slightly more hip hop than electro, but that never hurts does it?

Let's Go To War - Life We Live

Then You Add Terror Dactel to that mix, a lively clash of 'tronic and computer sounds. You hear that, fuckin 'tronic AND computer sounds. He also made a remix of PJtheViking's Raining Blows.
Seriously, there's like an underground network of undiscovered shit on Myspace alone, or maybe I'm late on that bandwagon.

Terror Dactel - Rocket Ready
Timbaland - The Way I Are (Terror Dactel RMX)

Okay, Okay, What have we now: Lazerbitch! Oh Brooklyn, you and your weird-ass emerging bands. It's promising though, quite promising. Someday soon, ain't nobody gonna have shit on you, with all these basement experiements. Keep them coming, there's an ear out there (a.k.a moi) just eager to listen.
I think Lazerbitch is ace, nuff said.

Lazerbitch - Now Again

And Finally, one of my favorites: Adam Port. He's hyped already anyways, how could he not, really? Berlin has got a spew of artists that's stepping up to the plate, and he's just one of those many big big ones on that scene. Keine Musik is where you should be lookin' at.

Grace Jones - My Jamaican (Adam Port Edit)

And, That's a Wrap.

All You Topshop Addicts

This one's for you, straight out of the LDN. Verbz has your anthem, so admit your vice. Apparently, Verbz is numero uno on the Myspace U.K hip hop chart, and number 10 on the U.S one, she must be doing something right. Besides, how can you not like that swag, homegirl is fly.

It's All About Brooklyn [Now]

In a few years, I might not even step foot in Manhattan anymore. Everything I'll ever need will be at arm's reach, and I like that. I've been keeping tabs on UO for the past 2 years. Why the hell didn't this happen sooner? or maybe, is it the beginning of the end for the hipster culture that lies Northwest of Brooklyn?
Maybe I'm, happy. Maybe I should be? Finally the end of an era, materialized with the selling out of its own neighborhood. Urban? AA was enough, but Urban? Really? Next thing you know, WholeFoods will open up [and yes they are if I read correctly].
Maybe I shouldn't be laughing, we're gonna have a full blown gentrification on us pretty soon. like, full fucking blown. Could you imagine?
Imagine SoHo, but with more bodegas and far less theaters and art galleries. Although that last one might've changed as I am writting...
Merde...

I Love Danger

Litterally. iTunes earned some street cred when they gave away Danger's 11h30 for FREE last week. They refrained from giving away what they like to call "good" music for a week, and provided some decent stuff. I love it.
Australia/UK/Canada/New York/Germany who?As far as I'm concerned, France is crushing the electronic music competition.
Vive la France?

And It's Out!

If you didn't know, well now you do: it's called Ed BANGER for a reason, and it serves it's purpose well, very fucking well.
Justice has graced us with the video for DVNO, and it blows the roof off. The Parisian duo has yet again enlisted the creative talent So_Me for their second video and it's pretty much safe to say that these dudes are here to stay.

Parfait!

After a beautiful [and long] lethargic two week self-imposed vacation, I'm back bitches :)
who knew? right? who the fuck knew that would ever happen? :)
Sooo, TTC (les enculés les plus cools) have finalement gave us the video for Travailler, ouais, finalement!
And it's no more appropriate that I get back to working.
Cool vid, cool dudes, France does it again.
